Do you need to be a Tarrant County resident?

  • Arlington Landfill: Arlington homeowners whose permanent residence is in Arlington get free drop-offs: show a valid Texas driver license or Texas ID at the scale house; name, address and license must match the Arlington Water Utilities account (authorized users must live at the address on their license; not transferable). North Richland Hills households get one free entry per month with a printed NRH Landfill Coupon (valid confirmation number) and driver's license; paid NRH trips need a utility bill and driver's license. Contractors, landlords, other multiple property owners and apartment tenants pay regular landfill fees.
  • Southeast Landfill: Fees apply to all users. The City of Fort Worth sends landlords, contractors and landscapers here instead of the resident drop-off stations. Non-city waste brought without a Grant of Privilege Agreement or hauling permit pays a Landfill Environmental Fee on top of the tipping fee.
  • Waste Connections Bulk Drop-Off Station: Haltom City residents only. Bring a driver's license and a Haltom City water bill; no other utility bill is accepted.
  • Brennan Drop-off Station, Old Hemphill Road Drop-off Station, Southeast Drop-off Station: City of Fort Worth residents with an active city solid waste account. Household garbage, bulk, brush/yard waste and small home repair waste need a driver's license and a Fort Worth water bill dated within 6 months, both with the same address. Recyclables and household hazardous waste need either a driver's license or a current water bill; apartment residents may bring only recyclables and HHW. No commercial, landlord/rental-property or out-of-city waste; you must come yourself.
  • City of Mansfield Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off: City of Mansfield and City of Cedar Hill residents only (per TCEQ's household hazardous waste contact list).
  • Environmental Collection Center: Fort Worth residents and residents of participating cities and entities. Proof of residence (current water bill or valid driver's license) is required; some entities also require a voucher, so check with your city first. Unincorporated Tarrant County residents must get a voucher from Tarrant County (Voucher Request Form) before going.
