- Yard waste
- Brush and branches
- Commercial waste
Appliances only with refrigerants removed. Tires: Dallas residents limited to 6 per year, no larger than 25 inches in diameter. Electronics from residents only. Loads with loose material must be covered or pay the $40 uncovered-load fee. The rates page carries a notice of rate changes effective Oct. 1 (FY 2026-27 on one copy of the page), and the separate commercial-rates page still shows FY 2024-25 rates ($42.33 per ton gate rate, $100 tipper fee, $54 pull-off fee), so confirm current rates. City of Dallas also runs free one-day BOPA (batteries, oil, paint, antifreeze) mobile collections for Dallas County HHW member-city residents; see the Dallas HHW page for dates.
Who can use it
Open to commercial and residential customers. Dallas residents hauling their own household waste from home ride free in passenger cars, station wagons, pickups and trailers under 15 feet long. A valid driver's license is required to enter, plus proof of Dallas residency: a government-issued ID with a City of Dallas address, or a current City of Dallas water bill in your name. Everyone else pays the commercial rates.
Payment: Cash, check or credit card (a processing fee applies to individual loads paid this way).
