Resident program takes household waste too big for the cart, furniture, mattresses, metal appliances, grills (no propane tanks), lawn mowers drained of gas and oil, used motor oil and oil filters, and passenger tires. Passenger vehicles and pickups only, or rented flatbeds and non-dumping trailers under 8 feet towed by a passenger vehicle; stake-bed, box and dump trucks pay. Fence panels, soil, brick or concrete only if under 10% of the load; remodeling or construction waste always pays the gate rate. Secure your load. Closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Collin County has no county drop-off program; Plano schedules residential household-chemical pickups, and Frisco residents use the Frisco Environmental Collection Center. Brush and untreated wood are free for member-city residents only at the Texas Pure facility at the Custer Road Transfer Station; here they pay the gate rate.

Who can use it

Open to the public. Residents of Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Melissa, Plano and Richardson can drop off acceptable waste at no charge up to twice per month with a city-issued utility bill that shows solid waste service and a Texas driver's license with a matching address. Everyone else, extra visits and non-qualifying waste pay the posted gate rate.

Payment: Credit or debit cards only, or a Commercial Solid Waste (CSW) account ($500 minimum monthly charge); no cash or checks.
