What it takes

Accepted

  • Household trash

About five miles east of Loop 323 on FM 2767. State law requires loads to be covered. The City's "Landfill Rules for Residents" PDF (utility bill use) could not be read for this check, so resident limits and any resident fees are not shown. Tyler has no permanent household hazardous waste drop-off: car, lawnmower and tractor batteries, motor oil and antifreeze go to the City's free Downtown Recycle Center, and up to 32 ounces of household hazardous waste may go in household garbage.

Who can use it

City of Tyler residents use the landfill under the City's resident rules and need a current City utility bill. Other customers may use the landfill but pay the gate rate.
